Classroom
instruction - Kan-ed currently serves as part of a platform for
classroom video instruction.
As of late 2004, well over 100 connected Kan-ed members have used Kan-ed to
teach several hundred classes.
Point-to-point videoconferencing
- Point-to-point video conferences can be conducted using dedicated and/or
desktop-based hardware and software.
Kan-ed explicitly supports H.323 and
operates a Multipoint Conferencing Unit (MCU) for H.323 users who wish
to include multiple participants in video conferences.
Point-to-multipoint broadcasting
- Kan-ed is also an excellent platform over which to deliver multipoint
video broadcasts emanating from any Kan-ed site.
